Road Triathlon Camps
Come train with us in beautiful Summit County, CO! We swim, bike, and run at 8700' elevation with stunning mountain views. We work hard but we play hard too. You will come away with new skills, knowledge, and friends!
Open water swimming can be challenging for many people. We work on swim technique and skills but also on reducing fear and anxiety. We practice swimming around bouys and T1 transition straight from the lake. Water temps in North Pond in July are typically 65 - 68 degrees. There is a beach with zero entry, restrooms, and a stand up paddleboard to have some fun with too!
The biking in Summit County is exceptional! We ride up to Montezuma, Loveland Pass, Ute Pass, and/or Swan Mountain, all of which provide excellent opportunities to fine tune your climbing and descending skills. No one is left behind and we stop often to re-group and review bike handling skills and training techniques. We practice nutrition and off-the-bike T2 transition skills.
The run is often the hardest part of the triathlon, simply because it's at the end of the race. We discuss nutrition and pacing on the bike to prevent hitting the wall on the run. We review training skills to build muscular strength and endurance as well as injury prevention. We run hills but flat places too. The best part of our run clinics, however, are the stunning mountain views that surround us (and keep our minds off the pain of running hard!)
